This isn't really a funny picture but I didn't know where else to put it. We live near the woods so now that it is starting to get warm out all the wonderful creatures are coming out. We have always had a problem with spiders. I like to catch them and put them in containers and try to find out what they are. Yesterday I came across 2 spiders. A yellow sac spider and a parson spider. I have seen many of these sac spiders around...they have bitten us many times...I had not seen a parson one until yesterday. Well I decided to see what would happen if I put them together.  I thought with the aggressive nature of the sac spider it would win but it was much smaller than the parson spider. They fought for about 30 seconds and then the sac spider was curled up dead! Here is a pic. You can barely see it but the yellow sac spider is underneath the parson spider.  |

What's the difference between these two spiders besides size? The yellow sac spider which you really can't see is more commonly found indoors and the black (Parson) spider is more of an outdoor ground spider...they like living in rocks and stuff...he must have been chasing dinner and found himself inside my apt  |
