So many You Tube favorites! I prefer bands these days ... this week it's a video by the Canadian thrash band Voivod from the late 80's / early 90's ...

TOO funny I played and beat quite a few of those games he was butchering. Back to the Future Back to the Future II & III TMNT Simon's Quest I didn't know Top Gun only had 4 levels or I would have perservered and beat that game. I could land the plane about 10 percent of the time. Refueling was a bitch though. I only managed to get that done once.

Here's another great video by JamesNintendoNerd: I watched a lot of those a while back. I don't agree with the Simon's Quest one because that game ruled back in the day. The Friday the 13th one was awesome when Jason made him play the game.

I didn't even know about the original Super Mario Bros. 2 from Japan until I watched his recent video. I just downloaded and started playing the game. The one website wrote, "The real Mario 2 was released in Japan in 1986 and Nintendo decided it would be far too difficult for American gamers."... that's pretty insulting to the American fans of the Super Mario Bros. series. They released it on Super Nintendo in the Super Mario All-Stars compliation with better graphics. They called it Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels. I never got to play it for very long, but it was pretty hard. Poison Mushrooms were crazy. I'll get it when it comes out on Wii Virtual Console. Our Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't even a Mario game in Japan. However that US Mario 2 had a huge effect on how Mario characters were portrayed in future sequels.

Have you ever seen how they dumbed down NES Metal Gear for us?
