Hello! I was a huge GPK collector in elementary school back during the original run. I think I started with series 2, but I picked up series 1 on the cheap when they were new. I used to be a bit of a GPK "dealer" at my school. They were banned, but you could meet me out behind the Spanish class trailer and I'd let you flip through my binders). Sadly, in high school, I sold a pretty complete collection of most of the series for less than a hundred dollars. The girl who bought them was happy, at least.
I'm in my 40s now, and my wife made the mistake of buying me a pack of We Hate the 80s a few months ago. The bug bit me hard, so I've already started repurchasing the old sets, enjoying the new ones, and trying to get a new collection going again. This time I'll take it to my grave (because the kids probably won't want it anyway).
I was buying a lot of cards on ebay and realized since I only want to collect one version (a or b) of any card, I had (and will continue to gain) a lot of extras that might be worth trading.
