Just noticed this, scrolling down on the home page:
"Most Users Online: 454 (Sep 6, 2013 at 7:17am)"
What was the monumental event that happened on this important day in GPK history!?

That is really sad as I remember this place being very active and that probably represents the last of days. I remember the MP started around that time and a lot of folks started to make that place a go to for gpk...leaving this place behind. Hopefully the UG can make a comeback!

I actually thought it was some type of error, as I can't imagine that many people on this website. Now it seems like there's 10 at most! So....I'm only on the UG and eBay and don't even have a Facebook account. Am I missing out on some action?

I'll stick with the UG, thank you. And I'll welcome everyone who returns when the MP dries up.

I’m still having nightmares and attending counseling because of that day.

Fb has become the new place to pick up gpk. There has been drama in the FB gpk groups so they have divided into a bunch of small groups, these smaller groups really look out for scammers and try to keep the groups safe. I have noticed this with a couple groups such as the MP, Collective, GPK live, GPK art all are always protecting from scammer's.
I have noticed on the MP that the group has become very large and I'm only assuming hard to monitor(the feed always gives me problems when I post). For the most part it's all trustworthy people.

I’m still having nightmares and attending counseling because of that day. I wasn't a UG member then, but I have heard tell of it causing darkness to creep back into the world. Rumor grew of a shadow in the east. Whispers of a nameless fear. Also, his sack looked weird.

One of my biggest beefs with fb vs a forum is there is no real archival of discussion, or structure. I get that stuff can be pinned but its typically just one or two things. Its constantly similar discussions because searching on fb is useless. I still search stuff on here from years ago, but have a hard time finding something i listed for sale a week ago on fb .

The messageboard was most likely getting hit with a wave of bots. That total also includes guests, as well.

Yeah, it does sound a bit suspicious having that many people on here...at 7:17 in the morning! But that's 7:17 AM on the east coast. It was only 4:17 AM in California. So maybe there were hundreds of west coast tweaker scumbags online, trippin' balls on the UG after the rave let out.

I was against Facebook as welll, Took A Bit for a member to convince me to join ,I am glad to be on there, my GPKS has graduated into a proud valued collection and I have scored a lot since Joining , But I know where I came from and I will not ever confuse that , I even created a group for all of us ART lovers to enjoy , sell , buy ,trade ,share and talk , and that’s not to take anything away from UG , inknow where I came from and I will never get that TWISTED . UG IS #1 !!!!! HOPE YOUR DOING OK SEYMOURBUTTS !!! I mean seymourbarf lol 😉

Definitely drama, scams , or people taking advantage of others , I’m totally against any of that. No room for that s**t in our community, ... Now disagreements and arguments. difference of opinions is expected. It’s in our nature to argue to debate to think we are right to think our opinion should be valued higher then yours. Lol. And many people have been kicked off , shunned and banned. as long As It’s not on a personal level or disrespectful , no one should not be booted

The messageboard was most likely getting hit with a wave of bots. That total also includes guests, as well. This is definitely what it was. We’ve never had more than 100 people online at one time. We used to have a few hundred visitors a day, now it’s down to like 60 or so. People like the convenience of facebook, but I don’t like talking GPK there because conversations are dead in hours and off the feed.

I think not. The mystery deepens!
