On the occasion of my achieving the rank of Garbage Pail Kid, I thought I'd finally do that member introduction thing so you can all get to know me a bit better. Here goes!

COMMENT: I collected GPKs as a kid, starting with series 2. I was actually the first one in my grade (2nd grade) to bring GPKs to school. I had better luck starting that trend than I have had recently by wearing sweat pants to the bar. But I'm sure that will catch on soon.
I stopped collecting as a kid around series 10, and didn't get back into it until last summer. I bought a pack of OS5 at a flea market for the nostalgia, and then the love of the cards came back to me. It also helps that collecting GPKs has been an escape for me from the stress of being an American since 11/9.
My favorite series is OS3, which has been determined scientifically to be better than OS2. I also like collecting proofs and other rare OS1-9 items. I don't often delve later than OS9 in my collecting. Oh, and I own the final art for Nasty Nick, Adam Bomb, Electric Bill and the actual Mona Lisa (the Lourve has a phony).

Brad...38...can’t believe I’m admitting it and you guys can laugh there’s no way I can stop you, but I got back into GPK with Disgrace to the White House set!!!! WOW lol... bought 77 out of 152 on eBay before I realized I was wasting my money and started with OS2 and OS1 and cheap toys!!!!!! And I’ve found my calling  I love GPK, antiques, history, my wife 👩🏼, and horror movies!! I want to know when I become a Garbage Pail Kid?? I have a long ways.. |

Because I see some people here with only 300+ posts that have 5 stars, but others with many more posts that still have only 4 stars. So is graduation to 5 stars not dependent on number of posts? Is there something "special" we have to do for (or to) the board moderators to achieve 5-star status? And if so, would they at least buy us dinner first? |

I told them I would give up a OS1 final for the glory of a 5 star flair, since I am a 5 star man its only natural. They hooked me up, I sent it Busted Bob, they said naw you can keep it and they didn't revoke my status because there isn't an undo button for it apparently. |
