I don't know guys. People have to want to pay that price again. I know I don't. We are all in our 40's or older, haha. Different priorities then it was 10 years ago for many of us. Just because a few guys bid that toy up to $200 or maybe $300 doesn't mean whoever else is collecting them wants to pay those prices. You have to remember the community shrank because of the high prices.

You have to remember the community shrank because of the high prices. i think the community shrank, due to interests in other hobbies. not really just the price of the cheap toys(which yes, was pretty damn high) most of the people i know that were collecting back then, just moved into other highly expensive hobbies as their interest in gpk as a whole went down. |

Yeah , wish more figures were available , I missed the auction end but right under 300 shipped was lower than I thought . Only need 4 more sculpts and eBay been a ghost town on the series 2 for a while .

It is an exciting week in Cheaptoyland! We get a little "pulse of the market" check in with a Sunshine Phylis up for bid on eBay. She currently sits at $89.88. I guess it sells for $125 and $160. Anybody think it will go higher? This post will guarantee it triples in price 🤑 I stand corrected! |

Didn't win the Phyliss so my quest continues unless someone wants to trade a Red Catty Kathy for one of my Fish. I got Phyliss in 3 colors. Anyways I did manage to score the CA Brett. Down to four figures to finish that set. Never thought I'd get so far. It's only taken me between 8 to 10 years, haha. Going through memory lane, it's nice to see very little infighting. Back in 2010/2011 boy was there A LOT of infighting and back stabbing. I don't miss that aspect of the hobby at all.

I'd still put that toy at $300 to $400 dollars if you didn't have two guys that were really gunning for it. Rarity aside, if you popped three more on ebay right now they all wouldn't sell for $600. I would think they would sell with a BIN of $300 and the seller(s) could possibly get a little more. |

FOUR factors played into that auction.
1 bird is a really hard to get sculpt
2 YELLOW is the most wanted color and highest priced most of the time.
3 there's been a real shortage of series 2 in the past year(except behind the scenes)
4 GREAT ebay bucks promo
So with ebay having their 10% ebay bucks promo, and people using credit card promos as well....it was just a perfect alignment for that seller.
