Didn't know Brent did the Harry Style card, I'm not knocking Brent I know he can draw but that card creeps me out. At first I thought it was supposed to mock Trump...it is a cool parody on a Star trek tribbleđ. The Harry Style made my decision for this set...that's gonna be a big no go for me.
As far as the theme they should have just went with artist of 2017. Makes it more mainstream and has the potential to catch the eye of kids. To be good it would have to catch the attention of adults and kids that's when you know your product is đ„
For the love of me I don't know why a couple of these artist haven't hooked up and dropped a set...a calabo of gpk artist doing a parody on Topps now that would be phenomenal.

I just hope they have a Fowl rock n' Raoul bonus card. He's the biggest rock star in the hobby so he better be represented!! Sorry Gpk art director, we just found someone to replace you  great idea man, I might have to ask a sketch artists to make me an unofficial of that. Your commission is in the mail! Not to blow smoke up my own ass but I've had some pretty sweet commissions over the years. Not quite to the level of creativity that we have now. Trump stepping in gum, Trumps shoes untied, things like that. |

I'm also apprehensive after the last few sets. I actually had to look up many of the shows from "Trashy TV" (maybe I'm out of touch) and the "Adam-geddon" had me excited for some wild concepts, but ended up rather predictable. Hopefully this one uses it's concept better (the wide spread of genres is promising), as I do like many of the "Hall of Lame/Shame" ones they've done in a similar vein. I just don't know why we even need themed sets in the first place. GPK always encompassed parodying all things pop culture, so I'm not sure why things can't be all kitchen sink like they used to be. This may even relieve the problem with some, um, not so great ideas, just to hit the required number of art pieces to fill a themed set. Anywho, with that said, the Live Mike did inspire me to do a bit of photoshop (NOT a real pack):  |

Uggh.
THIS is the news I come back to? Another horrible set. The completionist in me's probably gonna get me to buy just the base set, but I won't exactly be happy about that purchase.
