why have I still not got anymore of mine in frames? I'm such a procrastinator.
but framing is expensive and I want them to look perfect..
I know I could frame by myself, but I feel safer having professionals do it, and getting UV glass, etc 🤓

I am such a lazy s**t, ha ha!

I love that you are monopolizing the ownership of Pink finals. Are there any others? I also love NES Ness and the Rocksteady piece. Whoever traded you Rocksteady was a fool.

I live that you are monopolizing the ownership of Pink finals. Are there any others? I also love NES Ness and the Rocksteady piece. However traded you Rocksteady was a fool. Theres only been the (2) P!nk GPK's that I know of, which are both with me... they were both online only sets, 2016 SHAMMY's set (top middle), and 2017 BEST OF THE FEST set (top left) I DO HAVE A CUSTOM PINK IN THE WORKS THOUGH! 😍 the bottom right painting could be confused for Pink but its actually Miley (Mashed MILEY / Wrecked WREN) from I believe 2014 series 2 (I might be mistaken on that) BROCK STEADY is amazing! He needs a friend though! 🥺 Do you know where he could find one?

And I did know that was Miley, the Wrecking Ball video is iconic. But does this mean you are collecting all the pop stars? Because I don’t see Sia or Katy Perry, ha ha! And don’t you tease me about Bee Bop, ha ha! You know he belongs in your collection. Buy him already!

Bleh.... So I was going to drop some art off today to be framed, But then while playing on the laptop I came up with a different idea. I had had frames and matte colors all picked out **see above** However Im a little OCD and I think so many colors might drive me a little mad. So now im thinking rather than have everything double matted with inner and outer matte differing between each piece, that ill double matte, but have the outer matte on all pieces be black, with just an inner accent color. Im hoping to talk to the artists and see if I can get them to sign the outer black matte in silver. That way the artists name can be visible. The process would involve me getting the mattes cut, and then mailing them to the artists to sign, having them mail the mattes back and them me dropping off the pieces to frame. It'd be a bit an a process, but I think id be super happy with the outcome. What do you all think? I did a little mockup sample below. Is this annoying for me to ask the artists to do? I dont want to be nuisance. But it really is as a way for me to frame the art nicely and still have the artists name visible to viewers.

Would the mat be the same color black as the frame, or would it be slightly different? I’m not sure if the artists would be bothered by your asking them to sign the mats. I don’t think Mark would be bothered. I get the sense that he’s always happy to help out collectors of his art. But I don’t know about Brent and Joe. Would you need each one to sign to go in this direction?

Would you need each one to sign to go in this direction? I think id have the black be just a tad bit different than the frame itself. Or like the frame would be glossy, and the matte would have a duller finish... I'm pretty lucky I guess, because I only own work from 3 artists: MARK, JOE, and BRENT... (I won't be having to track down JOHN POUND just yet) All 3 of the artists I have pieces from seem like super nice accommodating people, so I'm hoping each of them would be happy to help. I just sent BRENT an email, and I'm about to do the same for JOE and MARK.

If you ever ask for Pound to sign, I doubt he say yes unless you throw in some big cash. He won't sign cards and the whole covid situation is another thing too.

I'm all for a minimalist look and letting the art speak for itself. I think it looks a lot better with the black mat and a uniform look. I don't think the signature enhances it though. It's a distraction.

I was on the fence about buying one of his pieces, and I was even communicating with him about it, when he announced that he was suspending sales until next year. If I knew he was going to do that, I would have pulled the trigger! Now I’m stuck until 2021. I need more art, damn it!
