Hello, fellow geepeekay underground dwellers! I joined the forum years ago with the intention of posting some tribute art, but I've only finally gotten around to it. Here's the first piece, a spray paint and stencil adaptation of Have a Nice Dave: It's 12" x 16" on canvas. I always loved the cynical twist to this card, that banal smiley face. I chose to overspray the yellow smiley so it would drip a bit for a "spraypaint-y" effect. I also left out the name placard because I didn't think it was necessary. Overall, I'm very pleased with how this first attempt came out. Stay tuned. More to come! UPDATE: Finished it off by adding a few things: Thanks to Cory for reinforcing the idea of the yellow hands.

Looks really cool. Did you notice that the hands were yellow in the original piece? That was always a detail that I missed. I did notice it, but I chose not to cut them into the yellow stencil so the focus would be on the face. On second thought, that may have been a mistake, and an easy fix if/when I reproduce the piece. Thanks for posting!

The next piece is my attempt to recreate the art of the original series wax packs with spray paint: 11" x 14" on canvas. More to come in a bit. Stay tuned...

Bad news: A year or so ago, my mom sold all my old GPKs in a garage sale. I had about 400. These cards were the ones I bought at stores and gas stations in their original release, mostly OS2-9 or so. As I played with them for years, they were not in good condition, but the sentimental value was irreplaceable. Good news: I managed to save my beloved 2nd series cards because they were separated out and in my possession in a backpack. I started buying some new BNS2 cards and getting back into the hobby, watching GPKKilla break new packs in his youtube videos (who is he, btw?) and making some new sketches of my own, etc. Bad news: I turned the apartment over for hours last night looking for the cards. I wanted to scan the original sketches and share them in the thread. Nowhere to be found. I moved about a year ago, so maybe I accidentally put them in the wrong pile and threw them away or something. I have no idea where they could be, I've looked everywhere. I'm totally bummed, but I have no one to blame but myself. The only GPK card I own now is a Spacey Stacy I fortunately tucked into the back of a tribute painting. I would love to regain some of those old cards, especially the first four series. I can see they're readily available on ebay, but simply clicking away and spending money is too easy and not enough fun for me. So here's my proposition: If anyone has extras of the original series and wants to trade for original artwork from me, let's work something out. Especially small deals: a few cards or so in exchange for a sketch card, something like that. If anyone wants to do a trial run, message me and let's figure it out. I'll post pictures of the original art in this thread before sending it out. This could be a fun way for me to keep doing art and regain some of my old collection, and for others to shed some duplicates and get some swell original pieces in the deal. Any takers?

LuCypher was kind enough to take a chance and try out a trade. He requested Mugged Marcus, a great choice for me to learn on. This is what I came up with: Thanks, Luis! Excellent work on Marcus! Can't wait to peep it in person. Thanks!!!! :-)

Impressive! How much would you charge to draw a sketch card? I'd love to have one from you.

3rd Series stencil painting finished! This is great. I can't wait to see the OS5 pack....it was always my favorite. Too bad I don't have any cards to trade.

Jack looks great! Thanks, billo. Here's a Space Chase: I decided to make some small changes from the original card to make him look more like a classic GPK. I'm a fan of the flat-bottomed eyes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you have some real talent, not sure I have anything of interest to trade but I would be seriously interested in a piece of your work if you were willing to ship to the UK
