Love these! Your GPK's are always so dynamic, and you have a high aesthetic. I hate the 'flat' look of the post-ANS7 GPKs, timid shading, static postures, cartoon coloring, and rehash. You were once a student of Pound's style, but took it somewhere else your own. Huge fan of your work!!

It's a bit lonely where I'm at, but ninjas seem to work best alone. I loved where the ANS was going...I thought it was getting better, but instead it went backwards from what I saw early on. I used to like the combination of ANS and OS and the secret ingredient which is inside each artist. I loved all the different takes on GPKs from each artist when they weren't trying too hard to fit into the mold. I love knowing which card was done by which artist. I haven't really been keeping track of what's been going on with the latest stuff unless someone points it out to me. I focus on what I have always tried to do. I think I still have some unfinished business and I guess I'll know when I'm done. I thought I was, but not just yet

Topps really needs to get you reinvolved!

It's unfortunate very rich white men feel the need to destroy the world in this other way and not just by enslaving the masses as they do already, but most people don't have an empathetic bone in their body so everything works really slowly. As for Topps these are the same rich white men that run the world. Perhaps slightly less rich, but nevertheless I think I can't work for anyone anymore. I would be hindered by the art director's vision or the company's. The best thing to do for fans of my work is to support my sets, but only a small percentage do. Either way I'll strive to finish as many concepts as I can, but frankly it won't be forever without some major support. More art next week!

GeePeeKrazy doesn't know what he is missing, Rahul loves Trap Jaw! It was a sad day when he left the community.

You most definitely need a piece (or two...or three) from Luis; one of the absolute best is the biz! Concepts, details, and color schemes are absolutely amazing!

Thanks you guys. It means a lot. I'm only taking quick commissions I can use for this series. I've been doing this for 10 weeks without fail now. I'd like to go for 36 weeks straight if I can.

Art direction and brand direction has been s**t lately with GPK, so my guess is GPK won't be around for much longer. It's a shame how greed and ignorance has completely ruined our favorite little gross characters. Your sets are 10 times better than the garbage being released by Topps, keep up the good work and let's see if we can get more collector's on board with LD!

I'll stick around until the pot is empty, but I'm always thinking up some new thing every so often and I have at least enough concepts for 2 more Series. If I had 100 solid supporters there is no limit to what could be accomplished.

Could you lay out what your example of a solid supporter would be? I think a solid supporter is one that is a weekly supporters of the Parody Kids Series 2 Sets that come out. I signed cards with an a,b,& c card and normally a bonus card when people buy another set from the series or from Parody Kids Series 1 or another item from my store. Some of those guys and gals are buying the whole set of Parody Kids Series 1 and I think many others will get the set of Series 2 when it's finished. People that buy the original art also helps out a lot. I think what I meant more than anything is if there were 50-100 people that are buying or waiting to buy the new series. I'm counting all the people that have been supporting me for the last few months. I think I can reach about 50 solid supporters in the next six months, but I think I would like to sense there are that many people interested in the cards I do. I think there are thousands that see them each week, but for one reason or another they are not buying them. Is the price one of the main issues? I self produce these. You would think it would be cheaper in some ways, but it's not. It costs so much more per card, but because I don't have a hundred people or more I can't spend hundreds or thousands of dollars on mass production of the sets. Perhaps the characters I am doing maybe too different or the subject matter too specific?Granted I know it's about the brand. People are focused on the brands, but I think there are some fans that go passed that and see the quality and that's what I think I can do. If anyone has some feedback on the matter feel free to add your 2 cents. Why are people compelled or not to buy my cards? In general I'm relatively happy with the small group of collectors I have. At the moment I am able to do enough per week and sustain myself and my family. I think it is just a matter of time before I get more supporters. I did start in August (2 1/2 months ago) with this new series so maybe I'm just naturally not satisfied with everything in the world. )I'm actually really hopeful. I just think I can do so much more if I had more supporters. I can spend less time on things like cutting the cards and printing them myself. I can find new ways for future sets to come in boxes and that sort of thing. Hire a few other artists to help with the sets. I think now-a-days word can spread faster and something like this can be accomplished. Nothing like this could have happened in the 80s.

Buff Monster had a very successful one for his Melty Misfits Series 2. Maybe talk to him. I have no doubt that you could get as much if not more interest. His cards were very close in feel to the OS GPK cards and were die cut stickers, so that might be something cool you could do with one. A Kickstarter can be a lot of work, I'm sure, but I've seen independent creators get a lot of support. I know I would want to. For me the original plan of one card a week at the price seemed more doable, but two a week is a little more difficult. I'm planning on picking more up, especially with the Headless Horseman one you previewed, but maybe something to consider. The artwork and design are great, so no problem there.

I've thought about the Kickstarter and yeah it does seem like a lot of work. I think once I have some time to work on something like that when I know I can make the amount projected. I think once PK2 is complete I can plan that out.
I spoke to Buff and I have the info so I know how much more or less to make a set and all the works.
The new one should be out tomorrow, but I did have a glitchy couple of days this week (Broken household appliances and maintenance people coming to the studio...DOH!). I hope I can churn it out on time. Might be a late Friday release or possibly Monday.
I have some cool new concepts I have never shared in the works. Right now I'm trying to release all the older favorites I hadn't printed or painted yet from the Watercolor days and whatnot.

If you get a kick starter going, I'm in for sure LD. I'm sure there are plenty of others who would be willing to back you.

Nice work! The moon has a similarity to the skull asteroid that passed by on Halloween.
