I'm off to Japan in July and will have a couple of days free to have a look around Tokyo for various bits and bobs. I was wondering if any of you have ever been and actually had a look and Asked around about Bukimi Kun? And if so what areas are best to start looking? I'm Staying in Akiharbara which is close to lots of amazing toy shops I'm told. I'm also told that Madrake don't have any as (Eric already asked) before some one shouts up MANDRAKE!! Haha

I have a friend in japan who has checked a few toy/comic shops without luck.
You should definitely bring some of the new BK cards to show to the shop workers.
Good luck!

This is something I saw in an alley in a Tokyo city. Actually my wife said hey bukimi kun! Very difficult you will find something like nilla found. People in stores ar akihabara sell mostly japanese stuff but one might be lucky seen as they rent out displays to people to sell their otaku stuff. Mandrake and stores in Nakano I have shown examples. But mostly they knod their head don't know or not interested. Bukimi where sold in americain convenience stores but very little remained. bikkuriman is more their gpk still having very expensinse vintage examples and new releases coming out. The poster on the picture is a bit weird with adam bomb being dressed up in dc.martins and the lonsdale style punk/skin outfit. haven't ripped it of this bar,s door yet when I get the chance I will.

from what I understand, we have a member (or a few) that have searched high and low and found nothing.

I had friends (speaking fluent Japanese) ask all over Japan in several malls / co-ops with toys, video games, trading cards, etc. and only received blank stares. It feels like the original distribution in Japan was extremely limited. I still have dreams about finding unopened boxes!

I've had several friends (3 that were from and 2 that visited) try to locate BK's and no one was ever successful. The search continues!

The thing is they are probably sick of ppl going on about them too like if they have no idea/interest then why should they care. It's like jeez another dude asking about these old ass stickers.
