Thanks,i tried some bolder colors but I kept going back to a gold frame which in essence needed some softer colors.

Great choice, love this piece! It was on my final short list. Much heavier and thicker lines than the original, which makes it an interesting deviation. Really nice piece which would be great to see in person I'm sure.

I love the expressions on her paintings. They vary so much from piece to piece. And yes Rahul this doesn't look like her bns work.

great piece by junghwa!! didn't know that one was hers. looking forward to seeing him up on your wall I emailed her and she told me she switched from oils to acrylics with her work. She was told the images looked faded with oils and didn't provide as much detail.I personally like her oil work better and think they translate to the cards just fine.

I also really like her older stuff which was all oils, but that could also have to do with which characters she was given. some great pieces in the bns and 2014 series from her. so the russell muscle is acrylic? Like you, I can't tell any difference in color brilliance in the printed cards. i thought it was cool that she had her own thing going with the oils.

In talking to one original series art director, different art styles and materials was a real headache to deal with. I'd love to learn more about it (in layman's terms) if our resident artists care to provide a master class on painting GPKs for dummies.

Its real apparent.I personally don't think the acrylic work translates well on her cards.Characters are too dark. Her adam bomb set is a perfect example. When Wayco showed me the finals I was floored with how much better they looked.

The first annual gpk con has come to an end this weekend in my hometown of Las Vegas. I was going to limit myself to one piece of art but I purchased two. There were so many great pieces to choose from. Here's my first Mark Pingatore piece. This is from his Disasters of the Universe set.The other I will share later.
