Travel lodge in chitown is 89 bucks a night for a double room basically 2 miles from c2e2 Yeah, I saw that. It's actually $99 for a double bed room though. There is another hotel for $103 for a double bed that is half a mile away from the convention center and is a 3 star hotel. Yeah the chitown southloop better deal. |

Frontier is only booking through March 23 right now... cheapest flight so far is $280 for me, how the heck is yours so low Cory?

American Airlines from Denver to Chicago arriving at 9:15am is $280. Not sure why it's more because the flights are roughly the same length, but it's still pretty cheap. Only $69 difference. Maybe the price goes down or more options open up a few weeks from now? |

I did so because it was pretty cheap, close to the convention center and it was 100% cancellable in case a better deal came up. It looks like a really nice place and has a hotel bar. |

Hotel bar! Alright cool, looking into it. $280 is not bad, it's usually around $240 from CO, but prices have risen a bit. I'll purchase a flight by Oct. Shite will be fun.

Alright well I'm pumped. Cubs game would be awesome but that's gonna be tight... Land at 1pm, game starts at 2:20. It will take you at least 45 min to get out of the airport and get a rental car. Stadium is not far but parking, etc. They stop selling beers in the 7th inning so that is a serious consideration. Might have to play catch-up if we don't get there until the 2nd or 3rd inning.

There is a chance I could make this. I have a bunch of stuff planned this fall (ie buying a new house) so I will need to wait after the holidays to see what my financial situation is like once things have settled and see what my spring teaching schedule is like. Been a while since I have been in the windy city.

UPDATE:
Added attendees to the list and a few maybes. One of the maybes is GPK Artist Mark Pingitore! He is looking into getting a table in Artist Alley and should know by Decemberish if he can get one.
Also, I was talking with him and we have a very special project to announce for people attend the show. Something unbelieveably cool, fun and VERY Garbage Pail Kids. I will roll this thing out soon, possibly in the next week or two when I get a few more details locked down.

Updated the attendee list. There are a couple of people I should hear from soon too that I'd like to add to the list. Also, I contacted Topps about what their involvement will be in GPKUG Con 2014. I'll post my findings as soon as I know. Lastly, I haven't forgotten about the very special project. I still have some things to figure out and then I'll post it. If you're interested in coming make sure you post here. C2E2 tickets will be going up for sale soon and I don't want to miss a bulk purchase opportunity. Also, this show sells out so you need to make a decision a few months out. This thing will be here before you know it.  |

It's be awesome to have a beer with you. I know it's tough for you to make it though because it's so freaking expensive. Plus the location isn't ideal for you. Orlando is a much better vacation spot for you. Also, go Rays tonight. I was pissed they put out my Indians but Tampa is my second team. Beat those fuggin chowds tonight. |

I suggest packing something a little higher powered if going to Chicago. :-) Im an outside chance..... Would love to go and meet the UG crowd. Also about 45 minutes from the convention center in Brookfield IL is Galloping Ghost Arcade. They are the largest video game arcade in the USA with 405 games on the floor. All games set to free play for $15 admission fee.
