Yes he was the original owner of it but sold it to Russ. Russ also has the spacey stacey figure from this toy line and I believe another member here has a couple of the figures. The toy line was based off the cartoon series.

Did the artist ever sell all of those prototypes? I only saw a few of them up for auction. I still can't believe he broke up that one-of-a-kind set. He did! 7 went to one buyer off eBay. |

Mike (and someone else) outbid me on Alien Ian in 2009 when it went up on eBay. I put up a modest bid of 200,(I think I bid 212 actually), not knowing how the market would react to these, and Mike (actually, it was Mike's brother) who won it. I also got outbid on Trashcan Ken in winter of 2009, an auction I will never forgive myself for.  . At least I got Ian 'back' and bought Spacey Stacy (Spacey Stacy was never auctioned on eBay, it was originally bought off-eBay). It's all good, I got my two personal favorites from the eleven-the space characters!!!!!!!! I wish they had made Inter-Stelllllllllllllllllllllllllaaaaa  |

That was the last one that the seller put up for auction, and I put up a half ass bid of 220.00 if I remember correctly, and got outsniped, I was the bidder behind the winner. It was an afternoon auction, it ended about 5pm or so, and I was so depressed that evening, I'll never forget. That pain of losing Trashcan Ken was something that influenced my future bidding, especially bidding on Cheap Toys 2008-2010. I was also outbid on Alien Ian (second bidder, behind Mike's brother), and one more.... I don't remember which, maybe Elliot Mess. Adam Bomb won that one. I should have looked closer at that figure, the "damage" was not severe. I didn't know how many were in the set so I had no idea others weren't coming! |
