A new GDL color variation has also been discovered (Keith noticed this as well). Supposedly the blue-backs are the from the first print run, making them the rarest to find since most were stuck in the albums by young Brazilians. There are now two known variations of "blue-backs": blue/white (blue text on white card stock) and blue/yellow (blue text on yellow card stock). Similar to the previous brown/white and brown/yellow variations. Yet another near impossible variation to find, bringing the total # of GDL color variations up to 5. 😜😜😜😜😜 I thought maybe the profiles and the award backs had been printed on separate paper, but as you can see above the two profile backs are on different color card stock. Please excuse the writing on Wendy. I had to make sure my pen worked lol 😊

Well it took me about 3 years but I finally found a blue-back Marcus!!!! Special thanks to kblaze for finding these impossible-to-find cards. Get them while you can for your rainbows as it might be years before they surface again! :-) The blue isn't mint by any means but it's still a rare find and a placeholder for now. :-)

For the first time the TV show has surpassed the comic in gore. Holy s**t that was brutal. Only 1 death by vampire bat in the comic (Issue 100). I don't want to post any spoilers but I'm afraid for the future of the guy that punched Negan in the face. "Don't kill him until you've had a try". I can only inagine what that means..... 😵 Too soon? Too soon man lol. You are freaking brutal 😮 I agree. I'm still processing the whole episode in my brain as I just watched it last night. I grabbed that meme off FB so I can't take credit. In all honesty I thought Carl was the bravest of them all. "Do it, dad" Ready to take one for the team. That scene almost gave me a full-on anxiety attack. Imagine having to make that decision.

So lame. I'm so sick of hearing about Topps shutting down cool projects. Guess they're afraid that Mark and other artist's work will put their current "art" to shame? They're still butthurt that they sold their OS final art for pennies on the dollar back when GPK was dead and now see them sell for tens of thousands of dollars on the regular. Good job Topps!!! 👍🏻 You guys need some new financial advisors. Now they're pumping out Raggedy Ann Kids, which are just going to end up in Trash Boxes by the truckload. Topps better watch out or the creators of Raggedy Ann and Andy will sue them like OAA. Everybody just needs to boycott all new releases, or at the very least wait until they are 1/4 the price at Dollar Tree or bought by Excell for TBs. I'll stick to collecting foreign and Imperial.

I didn't see a thread for these so I figured it's time to make one. There are two different boxes of Topps GPK Buttons: -36 count box (no pricetag on display box/buttons) with pink text on the outer case box -72 count box ($.99 pricetag on display box/buttons) with blue text on the outer case box. Here's pics of the outer sealed boxes of each Buttons box: Button variation set of 24 pics, New Wave Dave display box, and more cool info here: www.geepeekay.com/topps_buttons.html

Complete Tacky Snapper loose set of 6. The AB is mine from childhood, and the other 5 I've found on eBay over the years. Much harder to complete than the sealed set unless you bust open sealed ones haha I'll take a separate pic of the loose set of targets 🤓

Also, can anyone make out what those two items on his table are? One looks like a can of spray paint and the other a picture of someone...but who I wonder? I thought it was a can of shaving cream same color as his pants and a picture of his dear mother. Reminds me of Psycho in that regard.

I saw a full of box of Garbage Gang 3 on eBay and the box looks different from both the AUS/NZ GG3 boxes that I had posted recently in my collection thread: AUS on top, NZ on bottom. Here's the one currently on eBay: www.ebay.com/itm/131949784829It has the same barcode as the AUS3 box but the bottom half of the box doesn't have the same text on it for Australia and the part with the barcode on it is off-white. Minor differences but looks to be a slightly different version of the AUS 3 box.

Once you've completed your character rainbows from around the globe there's another fun way to collect your fav character. I call them "character-back" rainbows haha. GDL, Sgorbions, UK, AUS/NZ GG card backs also showcase your fav OS characters as profiles and cartoons. There are 4 different color variations of each GDL and the Sgorbions releases have many different variations for each card. Hell, you might even learn some Portuguese and Italian while you're at it ;-) Here some examples I've found for Mugged Marcus. GDL: Sgorbions: 🤓 you are out of your mind to add card back to chase. My attorney advised me to go ahead and take the insanity plea 😜 Please keep in mind that Marcus was cheated out of just about every Basuritas release (except in Pog format for Basuritas 2) and he didn't appear in any UK release. (Except as a puzzle character). I'll be taking pics soon of the UK, AUS/NZ and USA puzzles for Marcus. 😇

I made my spares checklist (worked so well!) with tickboxes so I can now tick them off as I go (I obviously have a clean copy of my book aswell) and work towards the full 100% and Ill mark it on the book as the years go by for the final few cards and 2 packs. I wish I could list all my needs on a card like that!!! 😜 Too cool tho!

Love it Jimbo! Dark, violent, and also somewhat of a "brain" teaser 😈. Did he actually shoot himself or is he imaging what it would be like to have grey matter spewing out the back of his head? Also, how did the mirror get cracked shooting in that direction? Unless he shot towards the mirror and then turned around to view himself. 🤔
Also, is this the only GPK that doesn't show the kid's face?? I can't think of another one.
Since its unnamed, how about these: Suicide Clyde/Grey Matter Matt

My main GPK addictions are Imperial and foreign items, but I've also been building a vinyl (some tapes too) collection over the last 20 years via djing, crate digging and collecting. Here's a couple GPK related pieces: Garbage Pail Kids The Movie soundtrack (12" sealed LP and Cassette) (front/back) Cabbage Patch Kids "Cabbage Patch Dreams" (sealed 12") and French Les Crados "La Bande Des Crados (7") Back of Les Crados 7" (has Les Crados #135 stuck to the back) One more piece of GPK vinyl has been added to the collection. Garbage Pail Kids The Movie Soundtrack - "You Can Be A Garbage Pail Kid" b/w "Working With Each Other" - (Promo) 7" Single [Curb Rec] Side A: Side B: There's one GPK 7" I still need and that's the full version (non-promo) of this 45.

gpkware and I had a discussion about the various colors of the Tacky Snappers. I've always thought the 4 color variations were Purple, Red, Green (fluorescent yellow), and Orange. However, gpkware has a pic of a yellow one up above. It may just be a Green that dried out over time, but would love to know if there's any other colors out there, and if anyone else has a yellow one. I've added an example of each color I have below: Purple: Green: Red: Orange:

I was able to get my hands on a UK Giant box recently via eBay and now that I have both the seldom seen UK Giant and common US Giant Series 2 display boxes I thought I'd make a comparison. Both boxes contain 72 packs. United Kingdom left and USA right: Differences: -Copyright info is completely different on boxes and wrappers. -Back of UK box is beige and back of US box is white -UK wrappers are way thicker! Look at box width difference for 72 packs each. -Adam's face is peach on UK box and more off-white on USA box. -UK are matte back and US are glossy backs. -The 99c price tag is in the top right corner of the USA box, but is a bit to the left on UK box.

Anybody have any additional info or other pics of the UK Giant Series box? I'm looking to add this empty box to my collection and was wondering if the box also has a similar copyright/cat # to the UK Giant wrapper: "RED And CLEAR WRAPPER (0-452-15-01-6) MADE IN THE REPUBLIC OF IRELAND - BY TOPPS IRELAND LTD, BALLINCOLLIG, CORK." gpkworld.com/UK_Giant_Series.htmAny help would be much appreciated! :-) Found it one month and 9 days later. Gotta love saved searches. More pics to come.......

Can anyone make out all the names here? 🤓 (I edited above pic to help decipher nameplates) So many different variations in that pic! Lots of different characters (Blasted Billy, Brainy Janie, Double Heather, Swell Mel, Patty Putty), pencil colors (yellow, blue, pink, brown), eraser color (pink, white, yellow), and metal colors (silver, gold, purple). Dear lord........ 😇

Holy Pencil stash! Just found this pic here: www.geepeekay.com/brightideas_pencil.htmlCool info too :-) PENCIL DETAILS: MADE BY: The Garbage Pail Kids Pencils were produced and released by Bright Ideas Inc. MANUFACTURED IN: All Bright Ideas merchandise, including the Pencils, were manufactured in Coatesville, PA COPYRIGHT DATE: The copyright date on the Pencils reads 1985 COMPLETE SET: It is unknown what makes a complete set of Pencils, but they have been spotted in four different colors and with seven different characters It's possible there is no other piece of Garbage Pail Kids merchandise that has flown under-the-radar more than the Pencils from Bright Ideas. These items rarely show up for sale, resulting in a large portion of the collecting-community doubting their authenticity or not even knowing they exist at all. However, these pencils are definitely legitimate and were released alongside the other Bright Ideas school-themed items. The wood pencils came in a variety of colors and featured a number of different Garbage Pail Kids characters on the side. Themed-pencils were extremely popular in the 1980s so it only makes sense that someone took advantage of the popularity of GPK.
