Come on guys, I know there has been some bad art, but there were plenty of examples of bad art after OS series 10 through all releases . Let’s try to give this set a chance. Kinda like giving DJT a chance. Bahahaha
The Adam-geddon theme attracted me back to the GPK hobby, breaking a 7-year hiatus. But after noticing the thin cardstock, lack of die-cutting, and no flipside comics or puzzles, I quickly left again. I don't hate the '80s, but I sure hate Topps.
Yeah I’m gonna buy the set of course, what aggravated me the most is the backside of the cards of the latest releases. They’re awful, some of the backs of the OS cards we’re almost as funny as the artwork on the front
what aggravated me most is the backside of the cards
It's so lazy, and shameful to the GPK brand. The backside comics were half the fun. Colors are too difficult to sort into sets. The product manager can't even "phone it in" by choosing ten kids and putting them on 9-card puzzle murals. I do like how each set has an overall theme divided into categories, but plain color-coded backs is a travesty.

As long as the theme is the 80s, I’m OK with it. I can’t get into the red cheeks ... why is this a thing?? I’m not expecting pristine artwork, but red cheeks are for clowns . My wife has over 100 CPK’s and the cheeks are a light pink, no red. It just looks like bad art and the concepts are actually good. Can we get one GREAT artist or maybe 2 doing a set per year?
Two more card artworks released... I like both of these also.
So far I am liking all 11 cards revealed so far, so fingers crossed the whole set follows suit... only a few days to go to find out!
These suck. These themed sets are the worst.
It wouldn't be any different if it wasn't a themed set. The brand is lost. These aren't Garbage Pail "Kids". They are just weak gag cards being sold under a recognizable brand name. I don't understand why people waste their money on this crap.

I’ve tried to just accept that they teased us with BNS and maybe if I just look at these as a continuation of series 10, which the banner reflects , it’s easier to accept. There were horrendous pieces of art in ANS, but also some great pieces. I’m trying to stop expecting OS 1-9 quality and characters, since it seems like Topps doesn’t care. I genuinely believe they aim their artwork at the kids at Target, hoping that their parents will get excited as well. I think they must make a huge percentage of their profit at big box , not hobby.
